WBT PRO BASS
CADDY FISHING TOURNEY
This
tourney is open to all professional bass caddies on the WBT
trail, however BASS is not associated with this in any shape,
form, or fashion. This is a highly non-competitive tourney
and will not be taken seriously. Stress-free fun is what we
are shooting for. All decisions of the tourney officials will
be completely ignored or argued about after lunch. Written
complaints will be ridiculed along with the person who filed
it. Consider wisely you caddies.
Bass Caddy Officials will be volunteered, chosen, or drafted
according to each person's lack of enthusiasm for the position.
The most trustworthy non-WBT person found will be treasurer
and responsible for all money collected. If no trustworthy
bass caddy can be found, I will keep the money and look for
outside trustworthy, non-WBT person to hold the money.
ENTRY FEE $1.00
All money collected will go towards purchasing a VERY BIG
TROPHY to be presented to the winning angler at the end of
the four regular WBT TOUR sites. (NO CHAMPIONSHIP) All local,
state and federal guidelines will be followed, including angler
licenses.
Fishing hours: 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., then we find a place for
lunch or have a cookout depending on weather. Quality catfish
or crappie caught could possibly be used for lunch if the
committee assigned to fish-cleaning has remembered to bring
filet knives. If not, all fish will be provided ceremonial
release.
This is not a weight tourney but a total number tourney. This
being the case all fishing must be done around the launch
sight of our WBT PROS, and naturally within sight of fellow
anglers to assure proper counts are maintained. ALL fishing
must be done from the bank or dock, no boats allowed.
This is a "dead or alive" bait tourney. No artificial
bait may be used. Examples of acceptable bait include, but
are not limited to: chicken or beef liver, shrimp, lunch meat,
Vienna wienies or hot dog, etc. IF YOU USE STINKBAIT PLEASE
WASH YOUR HANDS AND STAND DOWNWIND DURING LUNCH!
ONLY ONE POLE MAY BE USED; TOTAL. IF YOU BREAK IT: SORRY.
NO POLES MAY BE LOANED OR TAKEN IF AN ANGLER DECIDES TO NAP
DURING FISHING HOURS. ONE POLE ONLY!
I know some anglers will target the perch bite so all fish
counted must measure OVER three inches. All anglers should
carry a plastic ruler with them at all times. POCKET PROTECTOR
NOT REQUIRED. Remember close mouth and pinch tail. All species
will be counted with the exception of grinnel, also known
as dogfish, mudfish, etc. THEY CREEP ME OUT!!!
This is a tourney so we caddies can get to know each other
and relax a bit after we get our pros on the water. I hope
we will have a good turnout. Meet at the WBT staging area
after launch.
Standings and results will be carried in the Bass Caddy area
on www.BassFancy.com. You can also check the Bass Caddy blog
for stories about our adventures. Hope to see you all there
for the fun.
