My name is Terri Elkins and I want to welcome you to BassFancy.
This website is not just a fishing website, but will include
"Ask Dr. Terri" for questions about fishing and women's health,
or fish health, or both. Basically Feel free to ask about anything.
This year is my first year fishing in the Womens Bassmasters
Trail, hereafter abbreviated (WBT). Thanks to ESPN/B.A.S.S.
and Academy for their sponsorship of the trail. Without these
companies, it wouldn't be possible to live the dream to fish
with women. On all pages of my site you can click on the WBT/Bassmasters
or Academy symbols to go directly to their websites. I'd also
like to introduce to you my husband Rod Baker, who is going
to be my long-suffering "Bass Caddy." We will be fishing the
Bass Champs North Texas Team Trail together. Other fishing tournaments
and personal appearances will be listed on the schedule. We
will both be doing blogs and stories and I hope you will enjoy
them. Our first blogs will explain how I became "the fishing
doc", primarily how I went from being a women's doctor to an
angler. You can also go to the schedule page and click on items
for stories and pictures for each appearance. Check out my sponsor's

I am looking forward to an exciting year getting to know the
other anglers on the trail. Join us for a fun time on the water,
as we pursue our dreams of catching bass and convincing people
that I haven't lost my femininity by fishing. I'm still girly.
Our other goal is to promote not only conservation of our fisheries
and waters, but of getting everyone outdoors and promoting our
